Grand Opening
On Tuesday, Oct. 7, the
Assabet Valley Chamber of Commerce welcomed the Ed Mascari Piano Studio to its new location in Hudson, MA.
Organized and directed by Chamber President & CEO Sarah Cressy, the official ribbon cutting ceremony was held at noon. This event was followed by a reception inside the new studio which is located at
on the Rotary in the downtown Hudson historic district.
In selecting the new studio location, Mr. Mascari, who has lived in Hudson for the past four years, wanted a place that was highly visible and convenient to get to.
Commenting to the
MetroWest Daily News on the new location, Mr. Mascari observed that, "The new studio is right downtown, right across from the library. It gives parents who are dropping their children off for a lesson a chance to run errands because there are a lot of things around us."
Attendees at the event made up of a veritable Who's Who of the Hudson community. Among the 50 participants were Bob Larkin, Chairman of the Board of the Directors of the Assabet Valley Chamber of Commerce, State Representative Patricia A. Walrath, and Hudson Selectman Sonny Parente as well as Kate Hogan, both candidates for the State Legislature.
Also on hand were Donald Garcia, Chairman of the
Hudson Economic Development Commission and President of
Boyd Coatings Research Co., Arthur P. Reading, Chairman of the
Hudson Business Association and owner of
Hudson Appliance as well as Jan Patterson, Executive Director of the nearby
Hudson Arts Alliance.
In addition to Mr. Mascari, two new faculty members of the Ed Mascari Piano Studio are already busy giving piano lessons at the new location. Instructors
Alberto Martinez and Robin Cho are teaching on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons and evenings. The studio is doing so well that Mr. Mascari is already looking for a third teacher to being giving lessons on Wednesday.
